You see, it was The Chief's team. The Chief's. Of course, the reason Mayor Bartle was called Chief had to do with a Indian-themed boy scout program he started, which I imagine was really quite offensively stereotypical if you looked into it. But still, the team wasn't directly named after Native Americans like you'd think. <br /><br />Of course, the logo that went along with the name was always Native American-themed. So, it's not a perfect history, but it isn't quite as bad as you might suppose. Certainly not quite the same as The Redskins. Karen B.
